Showroom Detail is a high-end automobile detailing shop in Ventura, California. The client had gained a reputation all over southern and central California for outstanding detail work, but lacked a cohesive web and print campaign to support it. They contacted me after growing frustrated with a developer who wanted to charge them $600 for an unimpressive splash page. I suggested a branded print and web campaign and presented a few mockups. They were sold. The web objectives included showcasing finished jobs and presenting the basic company information along with a video on the nuances of buffing. The client wanted a custom look and feel for their location page because they didn’t like the traditional Google Maps aesthetic. While there are certainly arguments to be made for familiarity, as a designer I also tend to share that dislike and offered the following compromise:

The print objectives included new business cards, a few sets of 4×6 postcards and some hang tags, which reinforce the online and in-shop branding:

The client was extremely happy with the finished results, and this remains one of my favorite and more memorable jobs to date.
